Community guidelines


We are a place for no bullshit, no bullying, and Self-expression.

By using Highlanders, you agree to these Guidelines and our Service Terms. We reserve the right to delete content, disable accounts, or apply further restrictions if we suspect they have been infringed.

Please respect these rules and follow them with the positive attitude they are meant. We will update and adjust these Guidelines following the evolution of the Highlanders user community. We will closely enforce them trying to do what we think is best in each situation, at our own discretion.


Post only your own photos and videos and always follow the law – Do not Use Highlanders for illegal activities.

You are free to use Highlanders to share important and newsworthy events: please, be thoughtful doing so. We reserve the right to remove texts, images, or videos of intense, graphic violence in respect to the wide and diverse Highlanders user base.

Respect everyone on Highlanders: don’t spam people, post nudity or sexual intercourses.

We do not tolerate spamming behaviors such as artificially collecting hearts, contacts, or shares, posting repetitive comments or content, or repeatedly contacting people.

In the effort to keep Highlanders spam-free, we prevent any user to access their profiles through more than 5 devices. Also, we allow a maximum number of 5 users to access their accounts through the same device.

We do tolerate certain nudity at our own discretion. We consider breast feeding, breasts with post-mastectomy scarring, and other images not in a sexual context acceptable along with nudity in paintings, sculptures, and art in general. Restrictions also apply to digitally created content with exceptions when used in educational, humorous, or satirical context.

There is no space on Highlanders for offering sexual services, buying or selling firearms and illegal or prescription drugs (even if it’s legal in your region) and strictly follow any applicable law for regulated goods. Accounts promoting online gambling, online real money games of skill or online lotteries are forbidden unless otherwise agreed by Highlanders.

This is no place for supporting or praising terrorism, organized crime, or hate groups. We do not accept the promotion of self-injury or suicide and strive to ban any content that promotes or encourages suicide or any other type of self-injury, including self-mutilation and eating disorders. In respect to victims or survivors of self-injury or suicide we do not tolerate eventual content that addresses and targets them for seriously or humorously. You can use Highlanders to share non-promoting information about self-injury and suicide.

Bullying or harassment is not tolerated and we remove content, which purposely degrades or shames individuals.

Highlanders removes hate speech, which includes content that directly attacks people based on their:

  • Race,
  • Ethnicity,
  • National origin,
  • Religious affiliation,
  • Sexual orientation,
  • Sex, gender, or gender identity, or
  • Serious disabilities or diseases.

As for all of our Guidelines, we encourage to report any content or activity that violates this rule.

When sharing content containing someone else’s hate speech to raise awareness or educate others about that hate speech, we demand people to clearly indicate their purpose to better understand why they shared that content.

Humor, satire, or social commentary related to these topics are accepted on Highlanders. Users and Page owners are expected to associate their name and Highlanders Profile with any content that is insensitive, even if that content does not violate our policies. As always, we urge people to be conscious of their audience when sharing this type of content.

For the same reason, we need you to not pretend to be someone you’re not — including your friends, celebrities, brands, or other organizations.

Each of us is an important part of the Highlanders community. If you see something that you think may violate our guidelines, please help us by using our built-in report system. We promptly review all reported content and strive to take action as quick as possible. Even if you or someone you know doesn’t have a Highlanders account, you can still file a report on our website When you complete the report, try to provide as much information as possible, such as links, usernames, and descriptions of the content, so we can find and review it quickly. We may remove entire posts if either the imagery or associated captions violate our guidelines.

You may find content you don’t like, but doesn’t violate the Community Guidelines. If that happens, you can block the person who posted it. If there’s something you don’t like in a comment on one of your posts, you can delete it. When your content has been violated, you can file a copyright report. If you believe someone is violating your trademark, you can you can file a trademark report. Always refrain from posting screenshots and drawing attention to the situation because that might be classified as harassment.

We may work and collaborate with law enforcement, including when we believe that there’s risk of physical harm or threat to public safety.
